With the close working relationship that Art 2 Art UK has with George Ioannou, we are able to offer our internet clients the chance of having their own favorite stars of sport and screen produced on canvas by George himself. The exclusivity of owning an Ioannou original is constantly growing, as demand greatly outstrips supply for George's original works of which only a handful of released pieces are still available.
A few of our clients who are keen collectors of Ioannou's work, have also commissioned private images of their own family portraits to be recreated in George's unique style on canvas. Our commission facility has many attributes varying from meeting the artist to discuss sizes, colour schemes and content, to owning an original work of art that is a complete one off. In the past, some commissions of iconic stars that Ioannou feels would work in the commercial environment, have ended up being included in the limited edition range, (with the owners consent) adding a further degree of collectability to their finished artwork.

To the right are photos of our commission sale to one of our regular clients, Mark Costigan. Mark has been collecting Ioannou's work for a number of years and had put together an extensive collection of limited edition prints by Ioannou since 2001. It was when Mark spoke to myself and aired his long-term desire to own an 'Ioannou' original, that we decided to make this happen for our client. At the time of Mark's enquiry, the costs of Ioannou's work was rapidly increasing due to the growing popularity of his work, Art 2 Art tailor-made a finance package that would suite Mark and enabled him to purchase the painting 'Go to War' which was commissioned exclusively to Art 2 Art back in 2002 and one that we have kept under lock and key, with the intention of releasing it as limited edition print range in 06/07. When the Artwork was finally handed over to our client in 2005, Ioannou had heard that the treasured and forgotten piece was going to one of his long-term collectors and expressed his interest in seeing the piece one more time. To the amazement of Mr. Costiagn he not only had the 'never seen before' painting turn up at his doorstep, but the man who created the work as well, this was a truly memorable hand over. The satisfaction in commissioning an artist like Ioannou is the personal involvement that has such an impact on what you choose to hang on your wall. Art 2 Art are the only gallery to offer George's framed paintbrushes, used to paint the original works and commissions. The brushes are signed by the artist and carry the title of the artwork they were used on.
